MALOPAY is a technology and orchestration platform. Financing is provided by regulated partners where applicable. We do not make credit decisions ourselves.
United Kingdom
The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulates Deferred Payment Credit from 15 July 2026. MALOPAY operates as the technology layer for FCA-regulated lenders / brokers.
European Union
The Consumer Credit Directive 2023/2225 applies from 20 November 2026. We support partner-specific disclosure templates per member state.
United Arab Emirates
The UAE Central Bank regulates short-term credit. MALOPAY operates with merchants whose financing partners are licensed by the CBUAE or operate as agents of licensed entities.
MALOPAY routes a structured application to the partner that fits the merchant's country, currency, category, and amount. The partner runs their own underwriting, affordability, and identity checks. The partner's status code is mapped to a normalised internal status so the merchant and customer always see consistent language.
Personal data is processed under the partner's lawful basis (typically contract or legitimate interest for the credit application). MALOPAY stores data for the audit window required by partner agreements and applicable regulation, and supports access / erasure requests through compliance@malopay.com.
Customers and merchants can raise a complaint at any time at compliance@malopay.com. Complaints regarding regulated activity (financing decision, affordability assessment, etc.) are routed to the relevant partner's complaints team within their jurisdiction's required timeframe.
